Foundations of Our Institution

Pioneer Academy was referred to as Pioneer Academy of Science (PAS) in its earlier stages, promoting academic integrity, kindness, honesty, and respect for yourself and others. Some of its noticeable accomplishments include 2004 NJ Science Olympiad North Division 1st place, 2005 NJ Science Olympiad North Division 1st place and 2006 NJ Science Olympiad North Division 1st place out of many, which reflects its efforts in science.

1999

Pioneer Academy was founded in 1999, Clifton, NJ by a group of dedicated educators, with a mission to give experiences students will develop lifelong curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

2006

In 2006, Established as a middle school at 366 Clifton Avenue in Clifton, NJ, this opened up more opportunities for middle school students who want to attend pioneer academy.

Modern campus grand opening

2009

In 2009, Pioneer Academy started accepting international students and that has made it an international school that brings together all kinds of cultures and nationalities together in a diverse environment.

2013

Around September of 2013, Pioneer Academy moved its campus to a new location, in Wayne New Jersey. This allowed the school to host dorm students and make a stay for international students for the first time.

2014

In 2014, Pioneer academy changed its name from Pioneer Academy of Science to Pioneer Academy. It became a Co-ed Pre-k to 12 school.

In 2017, Pioneer Academy opened up a Montessori program.

In 2024, Pioneer academy has revived the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, ranked #1 in passaic county and ranked #7 in New Jersey.
